Club Hours
Weekday evenings between 7pm and 8pm
Saturdays and Sundays between 8am and 9.30am
The best time to make informal contact is Saturday from 9am, when you can avail yourself of a bacon butty and cup of tea for £1.50, courtesy of the Junior Squad.
Pengwern Boat Club, founded in 1871, is located in Shrewsbury Town Centre, Shropshire, in a picturesque river-side setting. The current clubhouse was built in 1881 and is undoubtedly one the most attractive in the UK.

How did you get in to rowing?
My daughter rowed in the Junior Squad and I spent that much time with her that I thought I may as well have a go myself.
What do you enjoy most about the sport and the club?
It's a combination of mental strength, fitness and technique.
Whats the best piece of advice you've had regarding rowing?
Don't let one bad stroke spoil your outing.
